Monica Dare started her working life in beauty therapy and opened her salon in 1980, which ran very successfully for 18 years. In 1998, Monica trained and qualified with Body Control Pilates in London and was invited to work with the BCP course director in Brighton, which she did for nearly two years.
Monica then decided to develop her skills further and studied the Alexander Technique in the Lake District for three years qualifying in December 2002 and has been teaching classes and workshops in BCP and Alexander Technique for almost 20 years. Since 2016, Monica has taken three training courses in Somatics and includes Clinical Somatics methods in her work. She is also developing regular workshops in Clinical Somatics in the Lake District and works with private clients. In her words: "This has been wonderful work for me. l love empowering people to learn and take responsibility for their own health."
