Clinical Somatic Education Overview
Clinical Somatic Education, founded on the work of Thomas Hanna, PhD, and other innovations from present-day somatic pioneers, is a safe, gentle, and common sense approach to eliminating chronic muscle pain for the long term. It is the only sensory motor training method that teaches you to reverse the root cause of most chronic muscle pain and gives you strategies to reduce muscle tension and pain in the future. In Clinical Somatic Education we teach you, through simple movements, how to relax the muscles that contribute to your pain.
The Three Components of Clinical Somatics
Sensory Motor Amnesia
"SMA" is the condition of chronically-tight muscles that develops due to accidents, injuries, surgeries, and on-going stress.
The Stress Reflexes
The brain responds to stress within three specific full- body reflexes: Red Light, Green Light and Trauma Reflex
Not to be confused with static stretching, this is the safest and easiest way to restore muscles to their full function and optimum length.
Which Conditions Does it Help?
Clinical Somatic Education helps with common muscular pain conditions such as back pain, hip pain, knee and foot pain and Sciatica. For a full list and a description of Clinical Somatics, click the link below.
