Julia Hall is a certified Essential Somatics Movement Teacher based in Longfield, Kent. Julia’s interest in the movement discipline developed as a result of suffering recurring running injuries whilst training for the London Marathon. Following Physiotherapist advice, she started Yoga to be able to continue to run but became fascinated with the subject and consequently trained to become a teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga. For the last 11 years, Julia has worked with a variety of student groups, and became curious as to why some postures and movements were inaccessible for some—including herself! She discovered Somatic Movement in 2018 which answered that conundrum!
Completing some personal development training together with her experiential knowledge and understanding of Somatic Movement brought the correlation between emotional and muscular tension to the forefront. Julia provides her students with the ability to connect with themselves as a whole, to move with ease, reduce discomfort and pain, and enhance their overall wellbeing.
