Lisa Godenick, CCSE, RSME, MPH, has more than 8 years of experience in movement and education. Her practice is based in Reno, Nevada where she offers private Clinical Somatic sessions and the occasional in-person Clinical Somatics workshop. Lisa also teaches private lessons online.

Lisa was inspired to study Essential Somatics due to her kyphotic posture, chronic back pain, and leg length discrepancy. She enjoys sharing this empowering and profound method with her clients so they can move through life with ease while decreasing pain. Lisa’s specialties are back pain and sports injuries. Lisa is especially interested in seeing how the whole soma is connected and loves to experience personally how this practice changes her experience of life—from her mood to her movements, to her thoughts and feelings. Clinical Somatics is truly a practice that helps her respond more skillfully to life, and create more spaciousness.

Additionally, Lisa is a yoga teacher and has a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Nevada, Reno with a focus on Social & Behavioral Health. Lisa is passionate about health and the human potential for change on all levels—she believes in addressing systemic issues that create barriers to people thriving as well as empowering individuals to embark on their own healing journey. In her free time, Lisa loves being outside, spending time with loved ones (including her baby boy!), and reading all things neuroscience!
