Virginia Reiner is the first certified Essential Somatic Movement teacher in Switzerland. Having grown up in Germany as a US-American, she speaks English and German fluently and offers movement classes in both languages.

Virginia graduated from the Technical University of Munich with a PhD in technical chemistry, after which she worked at a large US corporation in New Jersey for ten years. It was here where she developed frequent episodes of neck and shoulder pain from the high paced work environment and the many hours of sitting at a desk. 2019 she left her job to have more family time, however, the upper body tension resulted in debilitating headaches. It wasn’t until she discovered Essential Somatics that she found relief and was able to take back control of her life. Shortly thereafter, Virginia applied to become an Essential Somatics Movement teacher to share this gentle but powerful approach. She is hopeful that others will experience the same relief and joy.
